Ares download problem

i have a small problem. i'm using ares for my downloads. before i instal windows service pack 2 the downloads were flying down, but sice i've installed the service pack 2, the download rate has droped dromatically and is very slow. does anyone have an idea to improve the download rate to the way it was before the installation of the service pack?

maybe i have to enable certain ports?

i'm not sure. if someone could help, that would be cool
