StrangleHold Moderator Staff member Aug 2, 2014 #3 Mid grade 970 board. Just has 3+2 power phase. Will run a 8320 but I would not push it overclocking.
Darren Moderator Staff member Aug 3, 2014 #4 My friend has that same board. Works fine but I wouldn't push too much of an overclock on an 8320. My board is similar and with my 8320 I couldn't overclock much higher than about 4.2GHz without the stability just disappearing.

But I would have bought the Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P or the GA-990FXA-UD3 instead. Both of which are cheap and good boards.

spirit Moderator Staff member Aug 8, 2014 #7 I always recommend the Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 when suggesting AM3+ boards to people. 990FX chipset and good value from a good manufacturer. There are probably higher-end boards but the UD3 is a good one.
