Hope someone can help.

Im using my old DVD+RW drive from my old computer, but the DVD drive is only connected via an IDE cable.

My new motherboard does not have a Ide port. Am i stuck to buying a new drive?

Either buy a SATA dvd Burner or buy an IDE pci controller card. But buying a new sata burner would be your best option as they are cheap.

thats a shame. well having alook. I can get a blu-ray burner for less than £40. mite aswell do that.

Actually, this Asus DVD burner has a higher rating, with MANY more people saying so, and is even cheaper!

But I agree: Get a new drive...and give the old one away or save it as a backup.
