are any of these motherboard makes any good or you think i should go for well known makes like giga, abit, asus, msi, dfi

Motherboard preference

My son likes the ASrock. He said the two systems that he put together went well and the motherboard performed well. Like any make there are some bad ones in every brand. I have had two Gigabyte motherboards out of two that have given me nothing but heartburn. I have had some ASUS boards give me trouble. I have yet to try Foxconn and DFI Lan Party. TYANs have bee good but they tend to be more expensive.

Ive had two Foxconn motherboards and a friend had a Foxconn graphics card. ALL of them have had problems, I would NOT suggest them at all. :).

Almost every motherboard is good, depending on what system you are trying to build. So asking if a select few motherboards are good without giving any indication to what type of system you're building is like a shot in the dark. If you provide more info better answers can be supplied.

Foxconn is a very good company, for producing motherboards. I have tried ASrock once, which was a wifi board, with no problems.

Foxconn is associated with XFX, which means they are almost the same. XFX - Higher End, Foxconn - Lower End

ASrock seems to be associated with ASUS, which also means they are almost the same. ASUS - Higher End, ASrock - lower end
