Hey, I have an ASrock mobo which requires you set jumper pin if I use a 1333 cpu and 1333 ram, I have 8 gigs of ram ordered that's 1600 and, since (I think) the bios will automatically drop the 1600 ram to match the cpu, will I have to set the jumpers as the mobo's bios says?

Which motherboard do you have? I don't think there has been jumpers for memory/cpu settings in over 10 years. Nowadays all you do is enter bios and configure memory speed, timings, voltage manually.

You will have to manually set the speed and timings in the bios. Hopefully it will boot with 1600mhz ram. It only supports up to 1333mhz and thats if overclocked. Are you using a 1333mhz processor?

it's a 2 duo 3ghtz e8400 1333fsb. The ASRock website says that the system won't be stable with the exact timings, and to switch the jumpers. It's a combo board that uses ddr2 or ddr3, It runs good with ddr2 right now, but I'm gonna put the ddr3 1600 in it.
