ASRock P4S61 Motherboard

Can anyone help me, I need to get to the startup menu that allows me into safe mode but I don't know what key/s to press.

I have tried F8, Del and Esc, I have a virus and need to get into safe mode to remove it. Does anyone know how to get into safe mode on the P4S61?



P.S. I am dual booting with Suse Linux

F8 is the key to select Safe Mode, your probably having a problem because you have an F-Lock button. Make sure the F-Lock light is off, then press F8 several times from when you press the power button until the menu comes up. (And you may have to disable F-Lock a few times during start up).

1. What virus?
2. The mobo doesnt affect the ability to get into safemode ... just start pushing F8 at half-second intervals as soon as u turn on the machine

Well the quick and dirty way is to reset the BIOS to defaults ... the long way is to trudge through the bios and look for the entry (possibly under security)

did you try f11? I want to say for some strang reason on somthing i made once it wanted me to puch like f11 to get the options.
