AsRock P4V88 Overclocking...

I'm trying to overclock my motherboard but the Ratio option is Locked and I can't find any jumpers for me to go in there.
I know some motherboards are not overclockable, but the funny thing is that it comes with "Hybrid Booster" for safe overclocking...therefore, I should be able to overclock it. Right?

Has anyone found a way to do so through the BIOS and Jumpers without the use of Software?
Then again, if I do need software, which one would you recommend?

This is my motherboard's page,

I'm just bumping this up for the first and last time.
Hopefully someone can help me.

I've e-mailed AsRock for help and got no answer from them.
I guess you're my only hope!

the BIOS shows you can adjust that and that you can also adjust the ratio, but it's greyed out and it says locked.
i guess once i unlock it i'll be able to mess around with it, but i don't know how to do that through jumpers or BIOS.

Like said in an other topic, you would need a processor with an unlocked multiplier ( or ratio, like you call it)
AMD and Intell lock the multipliers on their processors, to prevent overclocking. so in order to do so, you have to raise the bus speed, and put the memory on a divider.

i hope that clears it up a bit

I have the same exact motherboard in the family PC. It only allows you to raise the FSB. You cant adjust voltages or raise/lower the CPU multiplier.

So, basically what OMEGA was saying is that you need to raise the FSB. Have you looked at Overclocking 101?

So, your FSB is at 200, and your Processor multiplier is 15X, so 200x15 = 3000. If you raise your FSB to 201, you will have 3015 Mhz.

hmmm.
what if the only option that shows in the BIOS is 200 and there's no where else you can raise it?
Is there perhaps a way can I adjust it using software, or is it not recommended?
