ASUS A7N8X-X RAM Issues (?)

I have an ASUS A7N8X-X with an AthlonXP 2400+. I have been running 256Mb of PC 2700 333Mhz DDR Micron RAM and bought a stick of 512Mb PC 2700 333Mhz hynix RAM and I seem to be getting memory dumps and errors with a lot of stuff. Programs crash, when i run a Prime95 I get as far as 2 minutes and it fails. I've tried rearranging the modules in the slots, but i still get the same thing. Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem might be??

What info does CPUz/PCWizard (preferably PCWizard) give you about the mem modules? :) Does it happen if you only run the original stick? Only the new stick?

I found my problem. The RAM I bought had more than 8 modules on each side. I bought some kingston value ram and am having no problems.

Thanks for your help.

Well if it was ECC memory then its possible that would be the problem: worth a quick call :) Normally ECC memory is expensive but ive seen some uber-cheap ECC memory too. Odds are they'll just swap it back for you :)
