Asus A8N-E -- Kingmax memory timings

Hello hello,
I have a Asus A8N-E mb with 2x512 Kingmax SuperRAM (dual channel).
I pulled up Everest to get a quick read on the memory and I got this:

Memory Timings
@ 250 MHz 3.0-5-5-10 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS)
@ 133 MHz 2.5-3-3-6 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS)

Any ideas as to why the memory is timed at 250 & 133 MHz and not 400Mhz (am I right to assume that PC4000 should be running at 400Mhz)?

Any input is appreciated :)

PC4000 is 250MHz or 500MHz if it's listed at the DDR rate. If you want to know the frequency some RAM should run at take the number (PCXXXX) and divide it by 8. That will give you the effective frequency, which is 2x the actual for DDR/DDR2.
 
Both are PC4000 - so I guess one is running at its expected rate of 250MHz - from what I read the other is at 133MHz - is there any reason this might be happening - or am I reading this wrong?
 
My bad - after a little more research the RAM is actually PC3500 (1GB (2x512MB) Kingmax PC3500 Dual Channel w/ Heat Spreaders) - sorry, just bought the PC. So 3500/8 = 437.5MHz -- is this right -- why is it only pulling 250Mhz?
 
I should have included this part earlier.

133 and 250 are the SPD settings, so when you have the timings set to auto that is what they are set to for the given speed. If you were to set your RAM speed to 133MHz in the BIOS the timings would be 2.5-3-3-6.

Also you are forgetting that 437.5 is the effective clock speed.

Ok, so 133Mhz equates to 2.5-3-3-6 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS)
And, 250Mhz equates to 3.0-5-5-10 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS)
I'm still a little confused in 2 areas.

1) Why are both not the same speed if they are the exact same RAM?
2) The RAM is dual channel - because they are different speeds does that mean it is NOT running in dual channel mode?

It's 2 seperate settings for the same RAM. So if the RAM was running at 133 you have the one situation, if it's running at 250MHz you have the other.

All the RAM you have installed runs at the same speed and timings. You can't set one faster than the other.
