Asus Crosshair V formula Mobo problem

I just recently got all the parts for my new gaming computer and I put the whole thing together last night. I went to turn it on and nothing happened. I disconnected everything except for the Mobo(Asus Crosshair V Formula), the CPU+Fan(Amd Phenom II X4 3.4GHz), and the RAM(G.Skill Ripjaw 2 x 4GB). I then tried turning it on again and nothing happened. I made sure all the power connectors that needed to be plugged in were plugged in and nothing happened. I know its not the power supply because I tried the PSU on a different computer and it worked. I'm wondering if there's anything I'm missing or if the motherboard is defective and I need to return it. None of the stuff I ordered was used or open box, it was all new. Thanks.

I've heard of many similar stories with this board, try pressing the MEM OK button on the motherboard. Make sure all the RAM is securely in the slot. Reseat them, and make sure to push them down until the latches click.

I have this mobo and had the same problem, press the clear cmos button for 5 secs, then try moving the cmos jumper from right side to left, replace after 10 secs. btw this mobo doesnt beep
