This will be going in a 920 Core i7 Sys. I don't do much gameing, but I do a LOT of media work/video/picture/audio, and heavy PS CS4 user. Any thoughts between the two cards? They're more or less the same price, and get good review, I just can't make the choise myself
Thanks.

If they're the same price, go for the 4870. Even if you don't game, it will be able to max almost any game you throw at it. What do you mean by heavy CS4 user? High-resolution photos?

Yeah, 8-10 MB RAW files, and easily hitting 50MB working images. From what I've read/been told, CS4 doesn't use the gpu TOO much, but if it's powerful, it will tap it for the renders to speed it up, which, if true, I'd love to take advantage of. I'd hate to have a nice proc. and be roadblocked by a video card.

Well, of the two choices the 4870 would be better, especially if they are near the same price. You would be better off going with a workstation card if you wanted to see it really improve your encoding speed, but those cards can run in the thousands. Of the two you listed, the 4870 should do well. What are they priced at, by the way?
