Asus Eee PC vrs. Acer Aspire One

Go for the Aspire. It's actually a full-fledged laptop, only thing it's missing is an optical drive, and of course it is a little small. The Eees have tiny solid-state drives instead of HDDs that, while they don't break as easily if you drop the thing and they're faster, they also wear out faster and are unforgivably small. Also, performance-wise Eees aren't that good, and the monitor is really tiny, too. If budget doesn't matter, the Aspire would be a better option, the Eee is an excellent alternative for less money. Remember, you get what you pay for.

Do you know if the Aspire One comes with Linux at all?

I also can't find information about it's battery life.

I have to say that for a note taking, web surfing, music listening laptop, my EEEPC is great. If you need a computer for real things (what I use my desktop for) then probably not. Really, the EEEPC is a real sturdy little guy.

I've used both, and seeing as Acer can't pile their crap on to Linux, thats the one I'd go for. I think the screen looks better to.

Eee PC and Acer Aspire One......for me I will choose Acer. It is mainly because it is Intel Atom and EeePc is celeron only....Besides, Design of Acer is prettier....:)
