The memory divider allows the system memory to run slower than the actual fsb speed. At the default settings the fsb and memory are usually set to a 1:1 ratio where increasing the fsb increases the memory speed by the same amount. Kinston is a good brand for Asus boards while Mushkin is favored for OCing.
