In the Asus board, it says max ram voltage is 1.95V, should I be worrying about that? And, theres no IEEE 1394 ports... anyways, which would be better to get in terms of reliability, performance, upgradablity, etc?

Kingston and Crucial memory is one recommendation for Asus boards. One pc shop owner recently stated that if you get a G.Skill dimm that works run it! The remaining hardware selection looks good while browsing for cases depends on what you plan for the system as far as gaming or just browsing the web. The problem with one Aerocool model case just received from the same vendor is that the blue led light for the 140mm front intake fan looks great. It's just too bad the fan doesn't run.
