Asus m2n sli-deluxe help plz!

Hey i just got a whole new computer in which i built from scratch. Its all set up, obviously something is wrong as i keep getting the BIOS beeps, the code is 1 long 2 short beeps and it repeats. I did some searching online and i saw that there are three different types of bios(AMI, Award and Pheonix??) the error code says its something to do with a display error.
I had two Nvidia 8600 GT's plugged in, then i took one out (same error) then i replaced the one still in with the one i took out (still same error).. I highly doubt they are both defective as theyre both new.. What are my options?

PS: I am using a converter that came with the GFX card to change the plug for the monitor, would that make a difference?

it shouldnt, try using the floppy for the bios or i dont know if this will help but reset cmos

Fixed it, one of my RAM sticks wasn't inserted all the way... don't know why it gave me that error code, on the up side my computer is now built and kicking ass!
