Asus M4A87TD/USB3 Mobo does not beep!

Yeah my M4A87TD/USB3 doesn't make any startup beeps, it never has, i think it's just a fault with the board, i've had the board for half a month, my friend has the same board and it makes a startup beep.

I've checked the bios and can't find anything about quiet boot, any ideas?

check your case connections along with the pwr lead and hdd led etc, there should be a line of 4 pins marked speaker on these 4 pins there should be a very short lead with a tiny black speaker on the end this gives off your error beeps. do you have this ?

I don't have a very short lead with a tiny black speaker D:

I can see where it would plug onto the board though

should i send an email to asus?

I would just find a local computer repair shop and ask if they have any of the speaker connectors, they usually have extra parts.

well you pc is probably alright its just that you dont have a speaker attached to the board, as john has said above just go into any pc shop its a very small inexpensive item that you should find easily.
