Problem

VGA’s voltage is out of safe bound. Motherboard doesn’t supply reliable 3.3 voltage. Contact with it’s manufacturer for help. AGP Vddq = 1.52

Here is my whole pc's report pleaes check through it and see if you can find a problem.

I can still play games and run 3D mark 05 nothing seems wrong, smart doctor just says there is a warning. The card is new.

I installed new ram the other day, and my stiffy drive is plugged out. Think that can make a difference ?

I can post a pic of my pc later.

It didn't give me a problem the first day but I don't think Smart Doctor was working, think the new ram (DDr 400, 512) made a difference. Did I maybe plus something in wrong. Will post a pic tomorrow.

Asus Smart Doctor reports the voltage wrong. Newer cards run between 1.5v and 1.65v. Try downloading the latest version.

I have the newest version and the problem still occurs.

Does my VGA need 1.5 or 3.3 ?

"The original AGP 1.0 spec called for motherboards and cards that operate at 3.3V, and the AGP 2.0 spec added support for operation at 1.5V. If your old graphics card operates at 3.3V, you'll need a motherboard that supports 3.3V AGP. Likewise, a card that runs at 1.5V needs a corresponding AGP slot.

Fortunately, many motherboards come with 'universal' AGP slots that support either voltage, and many of the latest graphics cards support both voltages as well. Not all setups do, however. A few motherboards out there run exclusively at 1.5V and won't support the older 3.3V cards. Check with your motherboard and graphics card vendors to determine your hardware's precise requirements."

If your card needs 3.3v and your AGP slot is a dedicated 1.5v, you might be out of luck. However, i didnt think your card ran on 3.3v, most new cards are 1.5v and that's all they need to run on. What exactly is the problem you are experiencing, besides an annoying Smart Doctor warning?

Software reading have been known to be notoriously faulty, and i am thinking it jsut isn't reading it right. If you experience no trouble with the computer, i would blame it on Smart Doctor and take that reading with a grain of salt.

How so I check vendors

Everything seems fine, I havn't played lots of games lately but I played a bit of Farcry and UT 04 and everything seemed fine.

I have also ran 3D Mark 05 about 5-7 times in the past 3 days and it has frozen twice on the same spot. Maybe that is a sign ? But besided the 2 freezes it ran the other 5 fine.

Well, go to ythe manufacturer's site and see what they say. Or, get there phone # from their site and ask them personally. Asus should be able to tell you.

It sounds like maybe your 3.3v rail from your POWERSUPPLY is faulty, and not your vid card/mobo. that is another issue seperate from the vid card.

lol, yah that might be a problem if the card itself will not run on a AGP 4X mobo. However most AGP8X cards will also run at 4X speeds, check to make sure your card cna do so.

in BIOS, makse sure you select "4X" and not "auto" as it might be trying to run faster than it should. although i think thats impossible.
