Asus n75sf freezes, have to force shut down, high CPU temp.

Specs:
Cpu: Intel core i7-2630QM ( Max operating temp 100°C)
Ssd: Corsair Force GT sata 3 (Windows here)
Hdd: ST9750423AS 750GB 5400rpm sata 3
Ram: 6Gb (4+2)

My laptop has been freezing between 0-20 minutes after i've started it.
I've done memtest86 without errors.
I've reinstalled windows.
I've updated CPU drivers

Here are two pictures of temperatures after it froze. http://imgur.com/a/vAw94
As you can see both times cpu temp has been high, but the freeze does not necessarily occur during the highest temperatur but instead when it has cooled to around 60°C. If I restart it immediately it freezes faster.

Still I think the freezes happen due to the CPU temp and I'm thinking about cleaning fan and replacing the heatsink thermal paste. This will take some work, do you guys think it is a possible solution?

Or should I think about something else? Hdd/Ssd crashing?

Link to image doesn't work. Could be cpu getting too hot or possibly bad or failing HDD/SSD. Need to test them. I would try removing HDD first to see if freezing still happens.

Thanks for reply! Changed image link now.

I've done windows simple troubleshoot "check" on both disks, but I guess I can't trust that. I will try without the HDD. I'll write again after.

Could be a bad temp sensor as well. You would want to use Seatools for Dos to test HDD and I believe corsair has a utility to test their SSD's. Yep, called Corsair SSD toolbox.

I have now removed the HDD and tried without it, worked for some minutes but later crashed, only difference was that computer shut down itself, instead of me having to force power it off.

I also tried corsair toolbox, it says SSD is fine.

The sensor acts reasonable, goes up when i start programs/runs games and goes down when idle. But maybe it is way above what it says at max (~98 degrees).

What is would you say is next step?
1. Don't trust Corsair toolbox and try removing SSD and install windows on HDD?
2. Start the hole cleaning/replacing thermal paste?
3. Try more memtest86? I only did for about 4 hours, 2 passes, both rams(4+2) at the same time. I though that was enough since the freeze happens so often it felt unlikely that it would be something hard to find for memtest.
4.?

On the system entry, arrow down to see if there are errors about the same time the system freezes or shuts down.

For some reason my computer currently thinks it is, 09:43, so the errors you see there is from around the time of the latest freezing.

I almost want to show you live on skype or something but i understand that's too much of a hassle, thanks for taking the time here!

Freezing is usually signs of a hard drive issue. All you can do is diagnose different things. If you can install windows to the HDD and rule out if the SDD is bad then do it. If it still freezes then sounds like its a temperature issue. How old is this laptop? Have you checked around the fan area/vents to see if there is dust blocking the cooling fan to the cpu? Does the fan go on a high rate of speed?

Laptop is about 5 years, i would assume the fans are dirty, i can not see them but i never cleaned it. They are kinda hard to access, pretty much have to remove motherboard to clean it, thats why i though about changing thermal paste while i'm at it. Fan goes at 2000-4800 RPM.

I'll remove SSD and try install windows on HDD now.

Background info on how i think it all started, i got a virus that from time to time made my cpu go on 100%, if i didn't notice it computer would crash. I found out that if i ended a process called "Autokms.exe" i would be fine, had this as a temporary solution until it didn't work anymore.

Autokms.exe
Thats involved with keygen software, meaning getting pirated keys to activate software. If you haven't reinstalled windows yet, then do so. You most likely have a boatload of malware on your system. Do not use keygen software to activate programs, you'll just run into issues.

Yeah, tried to crack some software, my bad.... But yes, first thing i did when ending "autokms.exe" process didn't work anymore was a complete reinstall of windows and formating both disks, wiped off everything

As long as you totally wiped the drives, then it sounds like you may need to disassemble the laptop, clean it out, reapply thermal paste. I know how much of a pain disassembling laptops can be, I have my own repair business on the side, but I don't think you have a choice now. Hopefully there isn't hardware damage somewhere.

I hope for the best and will try cleaning it out tommorow, getting late here.

If you or anyone else is wondering how it went. I now understand why you were somewhat reluctant to disassembling it. It indeed was a hell.

However it all went great, i cleaned it all out and changed thermal paste. My laptop is now working flawlessly. I've even been gaming.

Fun facts, i did a visible mark in the motherboard with a screwdriver, i also accidently smeared some adhesive paste on the motherboard. Still works!
