Last night I had a weird thing happen to my computer, I left it on all night but when I woke up this morning only the case fans were runing. The CPU fan had stopped and my monitor did not work either. I tried restarting it but the problem stayed. I let it sit for about a half hour and tried to run it again and it worked as if nothing had happened. Does anybody know why this might have happend, and how to fix it cause I don't want to spend $200 on another CPU if it burns out in the middle of the night.

Did you check the CPU fan power cord (it plugs in right next to the socket)? Does your monitor not turn on or does it jsut not display anything? I don't think the CPU would've burned out if your computer wasnt doing anything during the night. If it was... the CPU can get pretty hot and it probably did. Don't do anything wiht the computer if it turns on and the fan doesn't run. Booting the computer and running it will fry your processor.

did your monitor display "no input" or was it completly off. if so and your cpu is running its possible its a fault with the graphics card.

Well....I took everything out and installed it all again and that seems to have done the trick....Maybe I was just stupid and didn't connect something completely. Thanks for your help! :)
