Hey guys, I just signed up for this forum. I am having a problem with my asus mobo. The green on board light is on when my tower is plugged in. When I press the power button nothing happens except the case light flickers on then turns off after about 1/2 a second. I tried reseating the RAM, resetting the video card and resetting the mobo's CMOS. I am wondering if it could be a PSU problem or if the mobo is fried. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you made sure everything is connected correctly? Like making sure that the power button is connected to the correct pins on the mobo. I have the same mobo in my other computer and it works perfectly. I hope you made sure to put the stand-offs on also...If you didn't then your mobo may be dead.

Possible problems: bad PSU, dead mobo, wrong connections

Did you just build this or have you had it for a while and it just crapped out on you?

I have had this setup for a while, it all of a sudden shut off and then won't turn on anymore. The standoffs are fine. The connections are all right. The setup was working about a week ago....not anymore though.

I think it's your PSU that's causing the problem. If you have a spare PSU laying around try to power your computer with it. There's a slight chance that your mobo died but I really doubt that it would just die all of sudden.
