They both will do great for anything you want them too. One thing is that the Gigabyte board doesn't include a firewire port, I don't know about the Asus, though.
While you are not overclocking, they both are about equal in the area of overclocking, each being able to reach nearly 500mhz over the stock 233mhz. (in other words, 2000 FSB)
