Asus P5K3 Deluxe Motherboard CD DRIVE issue

Anyone else having this issue with Asus P5K3 Deluxe Motherboard?

i have a DVD drive and a CD drive.
And for some reason when i have both them in the dvd does not work only the cd drive will show up in my computer settings. And i have them plugged in correctly as well. so anyone have an idea whats wrong my motherboard is Asus P5K3 Deluxe Motherboard. do i have to switch the pin on the back of the drive. Both drives have it in the first slot.
 
One will need to be set to master and the other to slave; there will be information on these jumper settings on top of each drive. This is assuming you're running IDE and not SATA.
