Hi,

I'm looking for a way to change the mode of the parallel port pci card I've just add.

This is for controling motors. On many cnc forum I saw that I have to change the mode in the BIOS, but I can't find the option on this motherboard's BIOS. The recommended mode is EPP.

Do somebody know how to do that?

Thanks

Etienne

I read somewhere that I'm supposed to change it in the section "Advanced/Onboard device configuration" but it's not there.

The driver is installed and I can see the port information in the Windows 7 device manager. Do you think that this is only the BIOS whom didn't recognise the port and don't show it in de BIOS?

I tried the PCI card in my two PCI slot and with one PCI-E card in the PCI-E slot and none of them were shown in the BIOS.

Since its a PCI card, the options are not going to be in the bios. You will need to look in the cards setting in windows.

You're probably right. The remaining problem is that I don't find the place to set the parallel port mode (epp, ecp...) in Windows7. It's not in the driver manager...

Do you have an idea?
