Asus problem

I have an asus f3s laptop that up until recently was working fine. Now when I plug it in I get the power light and the battery light flash on for a second and I hear a noise that sounds like it's about to power on then it all goes off again. But it get stuck in a loop and keeps doing this continously. I don't know if it's the power button causing the issue or maybe a faulty motherboard. Any one have any ideas?

Forgot to mention that if you remove the battery and try it the same thing happens except no battery light

1. Remove the power cable and battery.
   
2. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds.
   
3. Replace the battery.
   
4. Replace the power cable.
   
5. Try turning it on.

tried that and it didnt work

Then the charging or some other component is broken. Not sure which.
