I apologize if this subject has been brought up before but for those of you that own an Asus Rampage II Extreme motherboard and the Sound Blaster Fatal1ty Titanium PCI Express sound card could you shed some light on me as to what slot you made yours work? The #1 slot is blocked by a heatsink on the board. I am using SLi just so you know. If there is another slot i can use, does it require changing some settings in the bios and what are they? Any help is appreciated.

if you have the open pcie x16 2.0 slot open, you can just put the card in there, otherwise you're going to have to cut a little bit of the motherboard's cooler(might void warrenty, not sure)

So if i cant use the first slot obviously and im using SLi, which slot # is it your reffering to?? Also does it require any settings to be changed in the bios if i use that slot? I probably sound like a noob but i kind of dont know.

Would it be the PCIEX16_3?

The SLI would take PCIEX_16_1,2

i guess so, its just going to be the one out of the three not used by your graphics cards, and it dosn't require any bios settings to be messed with(pcie cards are basically plug and play, if it fits, it generally works)
