Asus T1000

Any body have one of these? Just picked one up.. sort of an impulsive buy but I wanted something more portable that I could use for school.. I see it as an educational investment. I like that it includes the keyboard dock, the petite size takes a little getting used to but it has a USB 3.0 port which is nice. This is my first tablet and at $379 for the whole bundle seemed like a good deal. Any opinions on the T100? Something better out there that I overlooked or did I nail it with this one?

ASUS makes some nice tablets. I still have the first model Transformer they made (TF101) that I bought in Spring 2012 and it still serves its purpose well, even though it runs a ported version of ICS and is a bit on the slow side these days.

If I can get a couple good years out of this before it's dated I'll be happy. I will mostly be using this for online browsing, office tools, source code, etc. I should add I got the 64gb version and the included MS office was just too much to turn up. 8.1 runs smooth in the format it was intended for, web browsing is fast, and the touch screen is accurate and responsive. Dock has a cheap plastic feel to it and the edges of the tablet could be smoother but other than that seems like a decent little device.

See I just got mine like 2 days ago and its all good cause it had MS office and it was very portable for me to take to class, but one of the Browser programs (plug-in) that i need to download to do my classes on requires 1.6 GHz. But the t1000 only has 1.33 GHz, so i need to give the processor a lil boost. Do you know how? and if I cant then Im takin this thing back. I also posted up another post about this.
