Asus x5dc ram

i have had a look in my laptop i have 3GB of ram i have a 2Gb kingston stick and a Asint 1gb stick.

heres the question... i have had a look on ebay and i can get the same 2gb stick for £30 could i buy than and replace my 1gb stick with the 2gb stick i would then have 4gb of ram?

would it work?

Hey there,

Its hard to determine what sort of memory you need if we do not know what kind of laptop you have (and what the motherboard supports... dual channel etc)

run this advisory and see what it says your motherboard supports

but most likely you should be able to just replace the 1 gigabyte of ram with the 2
