AT&T Internet Connection Problem

i have their internet and every time someone calls me i lose my connection and i need to wait like a minute before it comes back to connect, is this normal because it's pretty annyoing
 
i think it's normal, sounds like he has dial-up, it's because dial-up, you have 2 go through the phone line, and when people call, it's either busy, keeps ringing, or breask through your internet connection, and makes it shutdown. i had the same problem when i had dial-up.
 
when I had dial-up it disconnected me about 50% of the time, now if you are using cable/dsl then there is a serious problem.
