Is there a noticeable difference in these 2 processors or could I be fine with the 3500 and save the money. My pc will be used for gaming, watching dvds, watching tv, list. music, and desiging on photoshop/Dreamweaver.

if you want to spend the extra money go with the slower processor
The 3500 and 3700 run the same clock, only difference is the extra cacheI would say go with the 3500, and if you feel you need more speed later it should be an easy and relatively safe overclock to 3700 speeds.
