I looked it up and it suppose to have a HTT of 250 but cpuid shows it running at 200. Is there a moutherboard setting to change it. my motherboard is listed below.
yeah the only setting I could find was HT and that was set to 1000(which is the highest setting). I did notice that cpuid read HTT as 200.3 the exact same speed it read the ram as. is there a relationship between ram and HTT.
Yes. Toms Hardware is dumb. The Athlon64 and all its derivatives do not feature a FSB. Instead they feature a HTT. Just a HTT. And its 200x5 for Socket939 (not 250x4) .... the Socket754 and Socket940 setups use 200x4 (newer opterons dont though)
Ya Toms tends to miss that a lot ... in one sense i dont blame them (since most marketers tend to mistake FSB/BUS and HTT/HTL) but as a technical site, it woulda been nice to have it done properly.
