I looked it up and it suppose to have a HTT of 250 but cpuid shows it running at 200. Is there a moutherboard setting to change it. my motherboard is listed below.

yeah the only setting I could find was HT and that was set to 1000(which is the highest setting). I did notice that cpuid read HTT as 200.3 the exact same speed it read the ram as. is there a relationship between ram and HTT.

And why on earth is it supposed to have a HTT of 250? Unless you're OCing the piss out if it then its supposed to be 200

Yes. Toms Hardware is dumb. The Athlon64 and all its derivatives do not feature a FSB. Instead they feature a HTT. Just a HTT. And its 200x5 for Socket939 (not 250x4) .... the Socket754 and Socket940 setups use 200x4 (newer opterons dont though)

thanks for clearing that up. It just goes to show me that even a well known place like tomhardware can give you miss information.

Ya Toms tends to miss that a lot ... in one sense i dont blame them (since most marketers tend to mistake FSB/BUS and HTT/HTL) but as a technical site, it woulda been nice to have it done properly. :)
