me and my friend are both saving up 4 a pc... he is gettins his sooner cus he doesn't need as much money cus he isn't spending as much... but he is getting a AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Venice 2GHz w/ 1GHz FSB and i am getting AMD Athlon X2 4200+ 2.2GHz w/ 1GHz FSB Dual Core
is mine baisiaclly 2 of his core? i hope that made sence...

and will his do better than mine in gaming?

it cant really be compared to 2 of his cores.
right now his might have a small advantage in gaming because they are single core games, but i highly doubt it. your comp is probably better now and will be better in the future.

ya x2 4200 would be good for the future stuff, while 3500+ might not last long on playing games.

but as of right now , for the games that dont support dual core you can open your task manager

cntrl+alt+dlt then go to process's.... find the game your playing's process... then right click and select " set affinity " and just uncheck one of your cores
