NO

It means it have 2 cores each operating at 2ghz. This does NOT EQUAL one 4ghz cpu. It does how ever improve mutitasking greatly over a single core cpu. It allows you to run 2 threads at the same time with out loosing any performance.

Pentium D 3.2Ghz i think would be the closest since the X2 3800+ is more or less the equal to 2X 3200+
