i want to get one of these babys but prob teh 512 version if any one does get one can u pm me and tell me how it fairs or does any one no how this card compares with a 7800 gtx

The scores in that link make my 6600 GT look bad. It says it got 2872 in 3DMark05, and I got 3672.

do you have an XFX one? and your parts may be better then what they were using, which could be why your score is higher.

In our benchmark Radeon X1800 XT with 512 MB was faster than GeForce 7800 GTX with 256 MB. Period. However, our comparison has a flaw: the difference in the amount of video memory available. We will need to wait until Radeon X1800 XT reaches the market to get one 256 MB board from one of the ATI partners in order to compare apples to apples. Of course ATI is only sending 512 MB models to the media to be reviewed, so they can achieve higher scores.

was sligjthly unfair though.

its like ferrari bringing out a racing car and a street legal car. the same car, but the racing has beter internals. then giving the racing one to compare with a Lambo Diablo Street
