Very true. When I was looking at recent benchmarks of the 7900GT/X, and 7950GX2, in most of the tests I would say the 7950 performed about 25-35% better in most games. Some games were higher than 35%, and some were only around 10% better. It all depends on the game/test you run. Also, the 7950 has lower clocks than a standard 7900GTX, which is partly the reason it doesnt perform as well as you would think, and in some games that dont support SLI, the 7950 will run similar to a 7900GT.tweaker said:If you really think it will downright double the performance your quite tricked by marketing.
Besides, the premium price tag still wont get you the features I've mentioned.
[-0MEGA-] said:Yes there is a difference, however the only difference are the speeds of the Core and Memory.
The x1900XTX's core is only 25Mhz faster than the x1900XT, and the memory is only 50Mhz faster (100Mhz DDR).
If your wondering which one to buy, I would recommed the x1900XT, since it's extremely easy to overclock to x1900XTX speeds and beyond. The only time I would recommend getting an x1900XTX is if the price difference is under $20, otherwise it's really not worth it.

And a big plus with ATI (as you pointed out earlier), is the use of Full Screen Anti Aliasing (FSAA), and HDR. However when running both, performance is crippled.
Nonono, you are the fanboy. Look at your post, then look at Omega's post. See a difference? His is filled with real stats, yours is imaginary.Nutcase said:And here we see again at least one ati fanboyI am not corrupted by the marketing at all
It´s not like that 7950GX2 has some kind of premium price tag? I think it's cheap if you look what kind of performance it gives to you.. And imagine when it´s OC'ed.. or when you have 2x7950GX2!
