is it worth the extra 50$ for the ATI 9800 Pro rather than the cheaper ATI 9700 Pro

buy 9500 and then make 9700 by enabling the 4 disabled pipes (soft-mod)

or u could buy 9800pro, download 9800xt bios and get a better card

No, it's called soft-mod cuz the 4 disabled pipes are enabled with software, don't know the name of program cuz never had radeon 9500, but you could start a thread about it and i'm sure you would get an answer

Radeon 9800 Pro and change the bios like already suggested. 9700 is older than 9600 and and the ones that have come out after that i.e. 9800, X300 etc.
