ATI CCC causing small square in the top left corner of the desktop

I've just reinstalled Vista and after installing the ATI program, the desktop has a tiny square approximately 6 x 6 pixels in size. It's never occured before. Does anyone know how to fix it? I know it's ATI causing it because when I went to task manager and closed CCC.exe the square dissapeared. Should I just reinstall it or should I ditch CCC altogether and use something else? I know lots of people say they don't use CCC.

yeah, everyone using the new 8.1 drivers are seeing it. I didn't see it untill someone pointed it out because i have a icon on it. It ONLY shows on desktop, open and window or game, it doesn't show..

Yep, that's exactly what I'm getting, I guess I must've had an earlier version before I screwed up my old windows partition
