Generally, it seems that 2 cards in CF perform better than a card with 2 GPUs. This is because both card get their own PCI-E slots; however, if you have PCI-E 2.0 slot, the bandwidth bottleneck would only cost you a few frames. If you have a PCI-E 1.1 mobo... then dual-GPU single-card solutions are a no-no.
