Well as titled I have got this video card in my Dell laptop:

Video Card: ATI Mobility Radeon X1400
Proc: Intel duo core (quite good not the problem)
RAM: 1024 MB

So here the other day I bought CSS and thought well I know it is not the best card avaible but it should defintly be able to run CSS, so I tried it out but to my big disappoinment/frustration it did not turn out to be completely true, it can of couse play the game but well there are those lags that really annoyes me nog major lags that screw it all up, but enough lag to be irritating.

So well should I not be able to run CSS properly with my ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 card?

I would think it would be just fine assuming it has a decent amount of video memory. Check your settings. Try taking them low and see if you still get the problem.

If you have the game on the highest settings on that card it wont run it very well but you should be able to play the game pretty well at low-medium settings.

I can play CSS at medium settings with 2x AA @ 1440x900 resolution, and get 40+fps.

That's wonderful. Good for you. But it doesn't solve his problems.

What settings are you running it at? And what FPS are you getting?

What was the point in that!?

He was saying Diddy could run at those settings so they could be used as a guide, he has the same card as Diddy!

Just match the settings to the ones that [-0MEGA-] has and it should be fine! :)

Thank you.

I was telling him that to let him know that his laptop should be able to handle CSS well at the settings I have mine at.

Hey, I know this is kinda old, but I have the same video card and am able to run CSS flawlessly with all on medium, and reflection detail on max just for the heck of it.

Yes the x1400 is a pretty nice video card (for a laptop), especially compared with a Core (2) Duo :)

Agreed :). It's gotten me addicted to CSS, but I wasn't brave enough to give FEAR a try... specs seemed a little too demanding.

FEAR should run alright, but you'll probly have to turn off the shadows. This is coming from someone who used to have an x300SE:)
