Hi,
i am currently thinking about getting a desktop with these specs:
Processor:Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor E7500 (2.93GHz, 1066FSB, 3MB)

Memory:4GB (4X1GB) DDR2 800MHz SDRAM Memory

O/S:Windows 7 32-bit SP1

HDD:500GB SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive with Native Command Queuing

Video card:ATI Radeo(TM) HD 4350 512MB DDR2

Now, i dont know if any of you have heard of the game "Rail simulator", but that is the main game that i want to play on this system. I was just wanting to find out if that graphics card and those system specs are good enough to play it with fairly good graphics, and no lagging or freezing. People are saying that the video card is a bit weak, but i dont really mind if they aren't "top notch" graphics, i just want them good enough so i can sense some sort of realism in the game!

Cheers

You wont have a problem playing that game with your system. You should be able to play with good graphics .

Here is the system requirments for that game

Optimized
Specifications
ATI Radeon X1900 256MB
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300
1024 MB

Recommended
Specifications
256MB DirectX 9 compliant video card, Pixel shader 3.0 and above (AGP and PCIe only)
Intel Pentium 4/AMD Athlon 3.0GHz or equivalent
1024 MB

Minimum
Specifications
64MB with Pixel Shader 2.0 (PCIe/AGP only) - NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 / ATI Radeon 9500 Pro or greater
Intel Pentium 4/AMD Athlon 1.7GHz or equivalent
512 MB

Your system is better then what the optimized requirements call for so you should be good to go.

The rail simulator I saw on ea was only $10 but it was the downloadable version. I'm not that into simulators that much I have Flight Simulator X it's pretty cool and all but I get board of it quickly. I don't see how a train simulator would be much fun especially since they don't make any special controls for them like the do the Flight and Racing sims.

since when has recreating massive train crashes been boring? I'll admit i've never played this. but i've played quite a few helicopter and plane sims and its fun to crash into others :D

Ok, but i think im gonna put Windows 7 32-Bit Home premium on it. What is the difference between 32-Bit and 64-Bit? Would the computer still run properly on the 32-Bit, and would the graphics not be affected??
Thanks, im sorry i dont know a heap about computers!

Yea, i changed my mind a little bit. Here are the new specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E7500 (2.93GHz, 1066FSB, 3MB)
4GB(2X2GB) DDR2 800MHz SDRAM
500GB hard drive
ATI radeon HD 4350 512MB
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

Will i be able to play rail simulator on this system?
Thanks heaps

Yea, you should be fine to play. The video card might be a little weak but you should be just fine.
