Actually, a 4850 can be had for around $89 now while the 4770 is still around $109. Ati needs to get in gear and fix their pricing....Right about now it is a fantastic card for the money. It's just shy of the 4850 in terms of benchmarks, for significantly cheaper.
30W isnt a whole lot of difference though for power consumption, and the 4850 still has the advantage of 800 shaders vs the 4770's 640 shaders. I think most people buying a gpu today care less about the power consumption(within reason of course) and more about its processing power.At current pries the advantage the 4770 has over the 4850 is that it runs much cooler and uses less power to run it.
