ATi Radeon Problems

I received my computer from Dino PC in May and was only the other day when i realised it only had 256MBytes Graphics memory (found using SIW software) when it should have 512MBytes.
After contacting them they replied with this

"The graphics card is a 512MB model, some of the memory is virtual memory
taken from system memory."

Is this right or are they talking rubbish, it doesnt quite make sense to me at the moment...

Card installed: ATI Radeon HD 2400PRO 256MBytes (supposed to be 512MBytes)

When they say 512mb, it means that 256mb are ACTUAL video memory, while the other 256 is taken from the rest of the system (RAM if I'm not mistaken) They aren't lying to you, so you sadly don't really have any argument against them, but the memory taken from the rest of the system doesn't help for much. If you're looking to do anything video intensive that would require you to be up in a tizzy over lack of video memory, a dedicated card would be a better choice than an integrated chip any day.
