ATI Radeon Resolution

Hi guys first post so go easy on me...

Basically im running a game at 800x600 and want to increase it. THe settings are there to do it but when I do the game becomes too large for the screen and i am missing parts of the game. In the past when ive increased the resolution - the detail of the game goes up but the size of it does not.

Windows has the same problem, im at 1280x800 but if i increase it i cannot see much of the screen.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

use the functions on the monitor to adjust the width and height of the viewable screen

its a laptop thats why it doesnt work but i cant seem to change the dimensions of the screen?

ur monitor may not support a higher res. I know that when i use powerstrip i can set my res to 3400, but most of it is offscreen.
