I have a Dell Inspiron 8100 Laptop and I installed an ATI Radeon Video card but it doesnt show anything on my laptop screen. The only way it shows video is if I plug an external monitor to it.
it sounds like it is configured incorrectly. i would plug in an external monitor, then go into the display settings, then enable dual monitor. if that works, try to make your laptop monitor the primary.
