I just bought a new dell laptop and I upgraded the graphic card to the ATi Radeon X1400. Is this a good GPU? It's better than the Nvidea GO series right? If memory serves me correct, the GO series were only 64 bit interface as opposed to the X1400 128 bit interface.

Thanks guys.

Can't wait for next year to try out the Macbook Pro!!!!

There are lots of GeForce Go cards, and they can go up to either a 7900GTX or 7950GX2 if im not mistaking, so no, it's deffinetly not better then those.

The x1400 is a decent card, I had one in my previous laptop, I could play CSS around medium/high settings fairly well.

There is 7950GTX in laptops and it is the best laptop video card in the market, but there is no such called 7950GX2 in laptops

The X1400 is fair for graphics capacity. It's not a powerhouse, but for notebook graphics it does pretty good. Is it 256MB?

yeah the X1400 is a 256MB but not fully dedicated. It has 128MB of dedicated memory and borrows another 128 from the system memory.

I don't think I'll be playing games besides cs source so I'm all good.
