Ati Radeon X850XT

I know nothing about this card, and can't seem to find anything on it from google, except inflated prices from resellers.

I know the card is older, but is it any good? I had an evga GeForce 7600GT installed, but gave it to my wife for her computer because she recently bought Flight Simulator X Deluxe and needed it to play (works great, btw).

Is the ATi Radeon X850XT comparable, better or worse?

My buddy says he'll sell me his for $50, but I need to know if it's worth it first..

From what I know, they're alittle less impressive than the 7600gt. And they don't support shader model 3.0, which will disallow playing certain 3.0 games. Conversely, in other games what support S.M 3.0, it will simply result in inferior graphics.
