ATI Releases More "R600" Details

Dont know if there all going to be that way but I dont like the way the power plugs are on the side instead of the end, have to make a u turn with your cables, dont know though the card might be to long to have them on the end! Most of the 8800 thats on the side face up instead of straight out.

Awesome, I am excited to see ATI blow Nvidia's current series to shreds!

It's cool that they will have hdmi output and all cards with be HD capable.

I bet it will be pricey though.
 
Theres no doubt in my mind that the R600 will own the 8800, but the 8800 came out last November! It's not like they both came out at the same time, the R600 is at least 6 months later.
 
all nvidia can fight back is with 8900, but all that is a 8800 wit GDDR4 memory. The only reason nvdia came released 8800 last november cuz their performance is way behind ATI and they need to get the performance crown. 2 x1950xtx's still beat 1 8800GTX, thats how far ahead ATI is.

There would also be an increase in core clock, and most likely RAM size and/or pipelines.

And nVidia was ahead before the G80 as well, with their 7950GX2. And sure two x1950XTX's outperform an 8800GTX, but thats comparing two video cards to one.
