Yes, the R600 (x2900 and so on), will be arriving shortly, which are ATI's DX10 cards to compete with nVidia's 8xxx series.

I was thinking on the level of just the 320 Mb. I know ATI is releasing the
x2900 series but how about something that will only cost $250-300?

yea, i wish that ati would be a little more confident and open about their latest greatest products, although i cant exactly blame them, they might still have their tails between their legs from their disappointing defeat to introduce DX10 cards first

heh.. thats funny! Do you really think thats why their being so secretive? i think theyre just gonna let the cards speak for themselves.. Boom is correct.

ATI and AMD (err, just AMD), have been really secretive in the past. Intel on the other hands brags about it's upcoming chips far in advance, remember the huge hype on the Core 2 Duo? I think ATI wants to keep consumers in the dark, and then once they arrive, they want everyone to go out and buy them.
