Atom d525 Coretemp reads 125 C !?!?!

that is the mobo i am using. It a passively cooled cpu (atom d525) but in the 1u server case i have 2 60mm fans blowing directly at the heat sink... the core temp reads 125 C/130 c at 0% load. and real temp reads 1c/2c @0% load.... are there any more prgrams that i can try... or should i just take a thermometer and stick it on the heat sink...

I think the CPU temp sensor is broken,there is no way your computer would be on if it was at 125C

BTW are you positive that it is in C not F

125*F = 51.6*C, that would be well within operating parameters.

I would think that if it is in *C, (125C=257F) that there is definitely a bad temp sensor.

hit it with a IR temp gun if you can...but i dont think it would be operating if it was at that temp yes.
