Hi, i recently had a very bad virus that damaged my computer and my pc was full up with software i dont need so i tried to reinstall windows using the targa disc i was given when purchased the computer, but instead of deleting the account it made another one, i am not very technically minded but my friend tried to help but to when you try and go to the mode where you type format:c, it just says some pc giberish and cant format the c drive, what should i do?

btw: it is windows xp professional and when you go to command prompt to format the c drive it says: unable to format c drive, format being used by another program.
