Hey all, first off: I just want to say hi! I'm new here and hope to get alot of help from fellow builders :D

NEwayz........What's the real difference between all the types of cases. I know there are size differences, but why can't I use a BTX PSU in an Atx case? Is it just the size? just curious............

im not up on these things, but i believe it just has to do with sizes.

EDIT: That is for Micro and ATX. I just read btx and atx's main difference is how they are mounted in the case

Those are the motherboard sizes that will fit into the case. Make sure you have the right board to go into the case. ATX is the standard board size.

thx, thats what i thought. I'm fine cause I got an ATX mobo' and and ATX case....I'll put my comp specs on my sig tm.....I'm dead tired...and, wow i can't belive how fast that was, its friggin 2:25AM.....lol....well at least where I live....thx again....... (Btw.....AC= 617, 6+1=7 see? tee hee hee, u prolly have NO idea bout' wat i'm talkin' about X)

yeah that board will fit into that case. It's 7:30am here (UK), gotta go to work :(

I have no idea lol.

ATX/BTX: The A/B notates the position of the CPU. BTX is located toward the bottom of the mobo, while ATX is located toward the top. Micro just means smaller motherboard, but the cpu location is still in the same general area.

Since the CPU positioning is different, as well as the PCI/PCIE slots, BTX mobos are not compatible with ATX cases and visa versa. And since micro boards are smaller, they fit in both full sized and micro cases. But full sized boards won't fit in micro cases. As for the PSU, I'm not sure. Probably the different case configuration necessitates a different PSU size and position.

Everyone has said pretty much everything, ATX is the bigger standerd and is what most people use, and this is more more of ATX standered parts. I personally think that BTX is more efficant and better, mainly for the CPU position and the fact that It would keep it cooler.
